These kids are absolutely fabulous

This is Quinn's first highchair. He loves it. Don't grow up too fast my baby.

No matter what challenges we may face in our lives, at the end of the day I am Piper and Quinn's mom. That is all that matters. Their eyes are intoxicating. The smell of their skin makes me feel bubbly all over. The sound of their voices is like no other sound in the universe.
We are all healthy and we have one another.
Life is good.

Piper's first day at Alta

Piper and I went skiing today for the first time. Just us two girls.
She went once last year at Snowbird, but today it was just the two of us. I hope this is something we can do together for the rest of our lives. I daydream about having long talks on the lift. OK who am I kidding. We made one run today, and Piper couldn't wait to go get lunch. There were minimal tears.
I took her to Alta, which in my mind is a secret gem on this planet that we are so lucky to have.
It was a perfect day. Not a cloud in the sky and warm temperatures.
There was also a really cute boy there who greeted Piper with kisses, Henry Alder.
As I am writing this Piper is carrying around our skis in the living room telling me that she can't wait to ski again. Who knows, maybe my daydream will come true.

Happy 6 month birthday Quinn

Quinn is 6 months old!
How has this happened so fast. Six months ago yesterday we dropped Piper off at her aunt and uncle's house. Seth, Quinn and I headed up to LDS Hospital to have a birthday party.

You are beautiful, smart, and have the biggest, brightest smile I have ever seen. I love my little boy so incredibly much. It hurts when we are apart. You are almost sitting up and have the best laugh in the world.
I came home from work and Seth and Piper had made this cake for Quinn. Pretty awesome.
