Happy little moments in our life

Aunt Bears and I took the kids to Sugarhouse Park. I love having these 3 together.

The boys. Double trouble

This is our nephew, Ronan. He and I had a tight bond right from the start. I adore my brother, and Ronan is a mini Patrick

My 35th birthday. Alison Krauss, Red Butte, and the love of my life made it the perfect birthday.
I am one lucky lady.
Our little jail birds.

My son. Still can't believe it.

This photo is kind of old, but I love it.
Every morning I ask Piper what we should do and she says "I want to go to Peepee and Bears." This is her uncle Patrick and Aunt Erin. She adores them. They are her second set of parents. Quinn too. What a relief it is to know that Piper and Quinn would be loved and raised the way we would want them to be raised if anything were to happen to Seth and I. Kind of a downer thought I know, but something that needs to be known.

The surprises I find on my camera

The twins

Nice honey!

Do you ever look at your children and think, my God, these beautiful beings are mine. I am responsible for their lives. It scares the hell out of me sometimes.
I wouldn't trade it for the world. Being Piper and Quinn's mom is the most amazing journey I have ever been on. How did I ever get to be so lucky.

Quinn's Blessing

We officially welcomed our Quinn Arthur Dunlop into our family yesterday. Seth's family threw a party when Piper was born. We did the same for Quinn. We had great food, friends and family gathered to hear some beautiful words that Seth wrote for his son. I am convinced that it is almost impossible to raise children without the help of your friends and family. Some key family members couldn't make it. We missed them terribly. We have some friends that I don't even consider friends. They are more family than anything. God we are lucky to have them. My mom as usual, hand made a silk suit with matching shoes. The trim on his suit was from my bridesmaid dresses. She wrote a message to Quinn in one of the shoes. I cried when I read it. I will treasure them forever. It was a beautiful day followed by an incredible summer storm. Love, love, love.

Quinn's Birthday

Link

This post is a little late. Here it is though. Some photos of our miracle.
Quinn Arthur Dunlop
Giving birth is the most amazing experience in the world. I wouldn't trade being a woman for anything. I left out the pre epidural photos. All I can say is that I am extremely grateful to have access to modern medicine.

Bring more than one pair of shorts when you camp with your kids

Seth arranged an awesome trip for our family.
We went to Albion Basin in Alta for our first camping trip with all four of us. Seth's friend Syd and her family joined us. It was a great time. Piper full on cried as we were leaving. She loves camping. This makes me so happy. I think it's so important to love the wild, bare world that exists outside the comforts of our home. I don't know really what the answer is with kids to instilling this love. I have seen families where the children were definitely exposed to the outdoors and grew up hating it. Who knows. There is nothing like cuddling up in your tent and talking to your kids about their favorite books and toys. I asked her if she will always camp with daddy and I and she said yes. When she is in the throws of her teen years we will see.
Quinn was a champ. Wasn't so sure about taking a 5 week old camping, but he was great.
Quinn peed on my shorts the first day and Piper threw up on them the second day. Seth baby wiped them off for me. Super romantic! We are in a weird phase of our lives.
