I just picked these fabrics up yesterday at Pipers and I can't wait to start a new quilt. Seth saw them and loved them and that sealed the deal. Our front room needs a new throw. These fabrics are the reason I love to sew. Erin's eye for amazing fabric is incredible. What a gift she has. Even though it's my family's store and I am there multiple times a week, each time I walk in I am in awe. It is a little slice of unique heaven with my favorite fabrics everywhere.

10 Days
I truly believe in marriage. I know that a lot of people say it's "just a piece of paper," but to stand in front of everyone you love and promise to make a life with this person, means everything.
Lord knows that marriage is not always easy. You can't promise to be with one person for the rest of your life and not hit some bumpy patches, but you work thru it and hopefully it makes you stronger. If you find someone who makes you laugh, and who will always stand beside you and hold your hand, you are so blessed.

Piper's First Birthday
This day has come and gone, and I am a little late posting this, only by 7 months, but this is my little love 3 days before her first birthday. It was October 4, 2009. We had a wonderful party at our home. All of our friends and family came. It was a dark rainy day. We live in a little bungalow. You can imagine how lively it was with 30 plus people packed in our home. Seth's family, my family, friends young and old, and even Piper's great grandma Quinn came to celebrate her first birthday. Home made chili, butternut squash soup, salad, home made chocolate cake and delicious wine delighted everyone's tummies. Balloons, conversation, and children's laughter filled our home that day. Sadly my dad and Daryl couldn't join us. I wish my grandma Aline could have been there with us also. Instead we ate birthday cake on her china and I remembered how much I love her. I'm not a religious gal, but I like to think that Piper spent time with my grandma Aline and my aunt Jan before she was born. When I looked around our home on this day I was reminded how incredible life is. I have this absolutely amazing daughter, my Seth, and all these friends and family who are always there for us. Always loving and supporting. Nurture your relationships in life. I can't imagine where I would be without them.
